Is Lead Core Fishing Line Worth
Possibly Poisoning Our Wildlife and Fish? What About the Dinner
Table?
I have run across something
that disturbs me very much, seeing that I have
gone green.
I have discovered some fishing
line that contains lead, in fact the core of
the line is 99.9%
lead.
It is called MAGIBRAID Lead
Core Line. This tough, down-deep trolling line
is manufactured with
High-Tenacity, multifilament DuPont nylon yarn tightly braided
over soft pure lead core.
The smaller diameter line also
allows more reel capacity than
standard lead
core lines.
Is it really worth the chance
of poisoning our water fowl and fish by swallowing lead based
fishing line to have a few more feet of fishing line on a
reel?
Come on folks if we are going
to try and save our wildlife I can not recommend
using this line for
anything that might get back to our dinner tables.
We need to let them know that
we do not approve of this type of line to be
used for fishing and
ask that it be taken off the market.
